About SIP:
SIP - Summer Internship Program is launched for highly motivated students from colleges & universities all across Pakistan. This program offers an internship facility to fresh graduates for learning and understanding the basics of professional work environment. For this purpose, interns are placed in the professional environment (organizations across the country) under the supervision of top notch professionals. This eight weeks program provides the experience and exposure of professional world.
Who Can Apply?
This is an open opportunity for young and fresh university and college students studying in the areas of social sciences, computer, finance and business management with an age limit of 28 years. Students must possess excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy and above all interest and willingness to learn and go through rigorous eight weeks of work.
How to Apply in SIP 2014?
Application form can be downloaded from http://www.hrdn.net/home/careerdetail/Internship. Applications can be submitted through email at sip@hrdn.net before May 15, 2014 and registration fee of Rs.1,000/- in the form of Pay Order/Bank Draft in the name of “HRD Network” should be sent through courier or by hand to HRDN Secretariat. Please attach filled application form with registration fee and clearly write Name and Contact details at the back side of Pay Order/Demand Draft.

Selection and Placement Process:
  • Selection and placement will be a competitive process and all applications will be reviewed by SIP Committee;
  • Long-listed applicants will be called for written test;
  • Short-listed applicant will be called for interview;
  • Result will be communicated through email to successful applicants;
  • The placement of successful applicants with the respective organizations will be done based on the basis of requirements of member organizations, applicants preferences and other various other important factors. Respective organizations rules will apply.
SIP 2014 Offers You:
  • An orientation on “how you’d go along the 8 weeks Summer Internship Program”.
  • Placement with a reputable organization for actual work environment experience.
  • Sessions on “how to conduct a research”.
  • Supervisors will be assigned to facilitate you in your research work.
  • Valuable instructions and guidance from a qualified mentor/supervisor.
  • Field exposure for interns to programs and projects. (Field exposure, observations, analysis and writing field report)
  • Opportunity to work in office environment (all systems, use of equipment, communication protocols, archiving etc.)
  • Opportunity to conduct research and document (collecting information through organizational documents, communication with staff, from internet and other sources)
  • Completion certificate upon successful completion in the graduation ceremony.
Terms and Conditions for SIP:
  1. SIP is a training program and not an employment opportunity.
  2. SIP doesn’t charge any tuition fee from students.
  3. SIP doesn’t offers any stipend or scholarship to the students.
  4. All students have to bear their boarding, lodging and travelling cost.
  5. A limited number of Alumni will be considered for SIP 2014.
  6. Internship will be only in the organizations approved by HRDN and change of organization without permission of HRDN is not allowed.
  7. Rules of the host organization will apply to the intern.
  8. Intern will adhere to the timings that will apply during the SIP.
  9. Intern will be bound to maintain the organization’s discipline.
  10. Intern will be bound to maintain confidentiality of information.
  11. Interns are not allowed to use computer equipment view, create and distribute material that is discriminating, harassing, obscene, defamatory, threatening or of an illegal nature to other employees or to anyone outside the company. Any such use is considered serious misconduct and could result in a letter to the referencing authority or individuals, of the intern.
  12. Certificate of SIP will be given to those interns who will complete their internship successfully and show satisfactory performance during their internship.
  13. The intern are required to submit and present the internship report at the end of the SIP period.
